About Greta
I teach English and Maths: from 11+ and GCSE exam preparations, to helping with homework and providing advice and tips on how to attain higher grades. I also teach Psychology from GCSE to A Level.
Although I have pursued tutoring approximately two years ago, students and their parents have extensively praised my unique and innovative teaching methods which has led me to continue what I do best- help students excel. Due to having extensive experience in working with individuals from various age groups, ethnic backgrounds and with learning abilities, I have the ability to emphasise and understand pupils individually- this facilitates rapport formation and boosts the young person’s confidence. As a result, the student is then motivated to strive towards their goal and more.

One of the greatest benefits of studying psychology at university is possessing knowledge about children and their development which I then incorporate in my teaching. There are many factors that need to be taken into consideration when working with young adults, such as: their current knowledge, work rate, confidence and attitude towards education. Once some of these factors are known through an initial assessment, as well as, general attitude questions towards education, it allows me to devise a method that applies best for the student. However, I would like to highlight that whilst a plan is always prepared, it is not rigid and is subject to change in accordance to the student’s feelings as emotions drive behaviour. This suggests that it requires a lot of attention in order to attain desired results. Therefore, I aim to build rapport with the student in a way that builds their confidence in my teaching methods and their learning abilities which creates a positive atmosphere and results!
