About Kathryn
I’m a traditionally published author of commercial fiction novels (Hodder & Stoughton), with 20+ years working in media as a journalist & copywriter. I have a Masters (Distinction) in Creative Writing and a BA (Hons) degree in English Language & Literature from the University of Manchester. I have worked all my life with words in some form and the English language is my passion. I love working with all ages and levels (secondary pupils and adults) to help support learning, understand and enjoy texts, and to develop writing & reading as well as critical analysis skills.

Patient, empathetic and encouraging teaching style. As a parent who has seen all three of my children through the education system from primary to university I understand how best to gain an enthusiasm and understanding for English.
Through close study of the subject I will unlock how the student can engage with set texts and learn to write creatively and critically, managing key essay writing skills to get the maximum marks in exams.
