About Yuka
Hi! I'm a native Japanese teacher with over 1,000 hours of online Japanese teaching experience. I have also passed the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test. In my lessons, I try to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where you can speak Japanese without worrying too much about making mistakes. I want you to feel comfortable speaking and enjoy using Japanese. I like anime, manga, and Korean dramas, and recently I've been especially into Chinese dramas. I'm also interested in traditional Chinese medicinal cuisine and often watch videos about it. I'm currently studying Chinese myself, so I also understand both the fun and the challenges of learning another language. Let's enjoy speaking Japanese together! My lessons are mainly for intermediate and advanced Japanese learners and are conducted primarily in Japanese. Have you studied Japanese for a while, but sometimes find it difficult to use what you know in real conversations? In my lessons, we don't just have free conversation. We talk naturally in Japanese, and when you have a question about grammar, expressions, or nuances, we can stop and clarify it together. You can also bring questions from your own Japanese studies. What you can do in my lessons: ・Practice natural Japanese conversation ・Ask questions about grammar, expressions, and nuances ・Learn more natural ways to express yourself in Japanese ・Bring questions from your own Japanese studies Lesson style A typical lesson is half free conversation and half time for your questions and explanations. If you just want to talk, we can also spend the whole lesson having free conversation! My goal is to help you turn the Japanese you've studied into Japanese you can actually use. This isn't just a free talk session where we simply chat and then leave it at that. We'll be conversing in Japanese and resolving any questions you have about grammar, expressions, nuances, and anything else that comes to mind. You're welcome to bring up any questions that have come up during your regular Japanese studies! What you can do in this lesson: Practice speaking in natural Japanese; ask questions about grammar, expressions, and nuances; learn natural ways of speaking that native speakers actually use; ask questions that have come up during your regular studies. Lesson format: Basically, the first half will be free talk, and the second half will be dedicated to answering questions and clarifying doubts. On days when you want to talk a lot, you can dedicate the entire lesson to free talk! Let's transform the Japanese you've studied from "Japanese you know" to "Japanese you can use"!
