About Martin
I have extensive teaching experience, which started off in Russia in 1997 and then was followed by a move to Ukraine in 2004. In both instances I was teaching English as a Foreign Language or EFL, working eight years at the British Council in Kyiv before my return to the UK in 2015. In 2019 I completed my teacher training, but it is really over the last year or so that I have begun to find my niche in education by offering 1 to 1 lessons in the core subjects from KS2 to KS4. As my degree is in Biology I would love to have the opportunity to teach Biology at KS5.

Thorough, patient and able to make lessons accessible and dynamic. Fine understanding of the right approach to adopt to each learner, developing strong rapport based on my commitment to the learner.
I do really enjoy tutoring, where I have a large degree of freedom in approaching the lessons with learners, who will find that I am able to enhance their engagement with the learning journey that I will exploit with tact, understanding and empathy.
