About Enza

I am a qualified and experienced Italian tutor based in Bristol.
I graduated from the University of Naples "L'Orientale" summa cum laude in "Modern Foreign Languages and Intercultural Communication", and I am in possession of the Certification of Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language "CEDILS".
My academic background is rooted in translation and linguistic analysis with a strong inter - disciplinary orientation.
I am truly passionate about foreign languages: I studied English, Arabic, Basic Syrian Arabic, French and Spanish.
I firmly believe that a different language is a different vision of life: learning another language is learning another way to think about things.
I love teaching languages, in particular Italian (or "La Bella Lingua"). Besides my considerable teaching experience in Italy, I have been teaching Italian to children aged 8 to 17 and adults of all ages, at students' home and in different local language schools.
I also have experience in teaching Business Italian.
I am in possession of an enhanced DBS Check.
My teaching experiences have been thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding.

About the lesson

"Communicative learning", which ensures that students learn to communicate from the start, is at the centre of my teaching methodology. Fluency and vocabulary are expanded jointly with the student's communicative accuracy.
My lessons also include reading practice, writing practice, grammar rules explanations and exercises, fun activities and much more.
I use the most up-to-date teaching instruments and a great variety of resources (literary texts, film material, documentaries, pieces of music, contemporary magazines and daily newspapers) to make lessons pleasant, stimulating and interactive.
