About Beckie
For the last 15 years I have taught French in school, to pupils from Reception to Year 8, with a focus on Common Entrance preparation. I have also supported a number of GCSE pupils in the lead up to their exams.
Prior to this I lived in France, where I taught English across a wide range of ages, including children and adults.
I am only offering online tutoring at present, and have found this to be an excellent and engaging style of learning for many pupils.

I can provide a fun and exciting language learning experience for younger children, and I offer an engaging and confidence-building approach for those facing exams.
I like to incorporate fun and challenge in my teaching, encouraging each child to reach their potential and become confident and independent learners. I use a variety of approaches in my teaching, to match my pupil's learning styles and abilities. I have a particular interest in supporting those who find language learning tough, and who might need a fresh approach to French. Through games, songs and cultural insights, my lessons offer more than just exam preparation and success.
The length of my lessons will depend on your requirements. You may want a brief check-in every week, a fortnightly conversation class, or perhaps an occasional extended grammar session. For younger pupils, I recommend 30 to 45 minute lessons. For Common Entrance and GCSE preparation, 45 to 60 minute lessons are more suitable.
