About Doug
I am a qualified and experienced Physics & Maths teacher and tutor. I've also worked as an examiner for 11 years, this helps my students achieve the best possible grades as I know what examiners are looking for, because I am one! I enjoy one-one tuition and really getting to know students, so I can get to know their strengths and weaknesses, so I can help them to achieve their full potential.

I work at a sixth form college and am used to treating students as young adults I believe it's important to give clear and detailed explanations along with step by step instructions on tackling problems- this is the approach I take to my teaching. I always strive to ensure students have mastered the basic topics within Physics and Maths to make sure they have the necessary foundations to tackle more complex problems within the subject.
I am approachable and friendly and try to create an environment in which students feel comfortable to ask questions and express their ideas.
