About Ya-Wen
Hello, I am Ya-Wen Teng. You can also call me by my English name, Winnie.
I am a friendly and optimistic person who is very passionate about teaching and learning languages.
My undergraduate study was about teaching Chinese as a second language. I have got the professional certificate of teaching Chinese after completing my Bachelor degree. Currently, I am studying for my Master degree in Psychology of Education.
As to my teaching experiences, my students were at a wide range of age groups, from kindergarten to university students as well as the adults. Hello, you are very welcome to my page.
I am a qualified Chinese teacher who provides one-on-one or group Chinese Mandarin courses from basic to advanced level.
My teaching style is lively, you will be able to have great opportunities to practice your listening and speaking skills, correct your pronunciation, and clarify the correct and authentic oral expressions.
I also provide classes that focus on Chinese reading or writing. Help you improve the vocabulary, grammar, and coherence and cohesion when writing or reading Chinese articles. I also provide Chinese culture courses, you can choose the topics that you would like to explore (e.g., festivals, architecture, food......) before each session.
My classes can be provided in either Pinyin or Zhuyin systems, using either simplified or traditional Chinese characters. I will be able to provide after-class notes and relevant supplementary materials for you as well.
All my courses for you will be customized, we will be discussing your expectations and needs at first, and tailored the course contents to you.
