I aim to make my sessions as interactive as possible and have a variety of teaching strategies that encourage the children to stay engaged. Where I can I like to incorporate the child's interests to our sessions as I feel this can help to increase engagement levels. My sessions are individual to the child that I am working with and I will develop activities that suit and challenge them.

I am passionate about helping children to develop a love of reading and strongly believe in the positive impact this can have on all area of their education. I have a very flexible approach to teaching and will work with the children to develop an approach that works for them.
I am able to provide tuition for KS1 and KS2 Maths and English as well as 11+ preparation. I would also be able to support those in lower KS3 in these subjects.
I retrained in 2015 as a teacher following 7 years of working in Public Relations. I work mainly in upper KS2 but also have experience across the whole primary curriculum.
Prior to my training I was employed as a SEN Teaching assistant as a school for boys with social and communication difficulties and therefore am able to support children with these needs.
