Qualified and skilled Qigong teacher, very knowledgeable and experienced.YouTube channel:Taichi And Qigong With Hong

I was introduced to Hong through her yoga classes at my leisure centre. She demonstrated everything to me as I'd never done yoga before. Her teaching methods are exemplary, and when in difficulty, she comes straight away to assist your needs. She was a great help to me, as when I started, I had not long recovered from a long bout of sciatica. She made sure I didn't overexert myself and helped me so much. I have full confidence in recommending Hong. She is a marvellous teacher.

Hi, I have done Ci Gong and Tai Chi before. Being in Hong's class is on a much higher level than anything I have done before. She was recommended by a friend who is recovering from a long term illness and who is obviously benefitting greatly as he improves in health each week. I actually managed to convince my wife to come to the Chi Gong as well and she looks forward to it every week. She has not shown this much interest in anything before and it has improved her mental energy noticeably. This is down to Hong's friendly, supportive and extremely knowledgably approach to the classes . She knows immediately when anyone is struggling and subtlety reacts by changing the approach as well as gentle encouragement. Hong has been a real find

I have been taking part in Hong's classes for a number of years. I love the variety and progression in the sessions. Hong is very experienced, knowledgeable, and highly recommended.

I have been learning Tai chi with Hong for almost 3 years, and last year I also started taking lessons in Qijong with her. She is an extremely knowledgeable and patient teacher who not only shows how to perform each exercise correctly, but also explains what part of the body the exercise is targeting, by sending the chi along the various meridian lines throughout the body. The breathing exercises are calming and meditative, making the whole lesson very relaxing and enjoyable. I would highly recommend Hong to anyone interested in learning Qijong or Tai chi.

I've been attending Hong's Yang style, 8 form Tai Chi classes for about 6 months now.

I'm 69 and it's not easy and takes a lot of concentration. It's good for joints, coordination, mental acuity as well as socialization. I'd recommend it anytime.

The thing is, as I said, it's not easy and you need someone who really knows what they are doing to show you what to do.

Hong is that person.

Her classes are not rushed, and yes they may seem a little repetitive but that repetition is the key to success. Hong regularly reminds her students to practice at home, every day. She points out flaws and commendations to individuals when students attend the weekly session.

Hong doesn't expect her students to be perfect. It's a rolling program so that just wouldn't work. Her patience is perfect for the style of class.

I joined Hongs yoga classes 18 months ago and have found a love for yoga. The classes improve fitness, flexibility, strength and balance as well as mindfulness through breathing techniques and relaxation.
Hong is a knowledgeable and enthusiastic instructor who adapts levels for beginners to experienced. Classes are friendly and relaxed.

I highly recommend Hong for yoga.
I started at Abergele leisure centre to get fit and flexible. I was very lucky to have met Hong for yoga. I suffer from chronic pain, sciatica, arthritis, and stiff joints. I have found since joining Hong's class I can manage my pain and have a better mindset as well as getting back my flexibility.

I attended Hong's yoga classes. She is a wonderful instructor and is flexible in her approach. Hong delivers a non-competitive class suited for everyone. Hong is very talented and has a lovely, calm, and warm manner. I look forward to my weekly classes.

I highly recommend Hong as a Tai Chi instructor. She is attentive and thoughtful and makes sure to take my limited mobility into account during lessons. Her patience and deep knowledge of Tai Chi make for fun training and rapid improvement. I’ve benefited from her guidance and appreciate the care she brings to every session.

Hong has been a knowledgeable and patient Tai Chi instructor. She demonstrates and explains the postures, and she helps with fine tuning each movement. She even provides videos to reinforce learning when needed. I highly recommend her.

As a complete novice, I wasn't sure what to expect. However Hong immediately put me at ease. She patiently goes through the movements and explains their origin in traditional Chinese medicine.
I already feel improvement in balance, breathing, posture and relaxation. I leave the class with a spring in my step. Highly recommended

I go to Hong's yoga classes. I really enjoy her Hatha and Vinyasa and feel well stretched and Zen after. Her instructions are clear and easy to follow.

I always look forward to Hong’s yoga sessions, the perfect balance of relaxation and challenge, great for flexibility, improving strength and overall mental wellbeing. Classes are varied, suitable for all abilities and grounded in Hong’s professional medical background. I come away feeling refreshed, a great way to unwind!

I been going to Hong’s classes for over a year. I have always enjoyed them. She is an excellent instructor and is very professional. When I first started she was patient with showing beginners how to do it all correctly. She makes the class enjoyable and I always feel so much better after Hong’s classes. Thank you

Hong is an excellent trainer/teacher of both yoga and Taichi.
She teach both Vibyasa and yin yoga, whenever I get an opportunity I attend her classes along with my wife.
The classes start and finish on time, varied and complete for body and mind . You have an opportunity to attend the following class if you are time constrained.
She does do longer special sessions over weekends from time to time.
Pleasant personality, friendly and I thoroughly enjoy her classes. Best wishes

For months, I suffered from neck pain. After just one yoga class with Hong, my pain eased significantly, and I regained movement. I highly recommend Hong's classes to anyone experiencing similar issues.

I have been practicing Tai Chi for 22 years, and with various instructors. I have attended Hong's classes for 6 years. Hong is up there with the best. Her movements are so easy to follow. She progresses through each stage at a pace that allows her students to remember the earlier stages, giving confidence to the students. I was a technology teacher for 36 years, i believe I can spot a competent instructor. I have no hesitation in recommending her.

I've attended several yoga classes over the last 2 years, and by far Hong's are the some of the best. The classes are varied in content, structured, but most importantly welcoming and warm.

Hong is supportive and reinforces the importance of listening to your own body and its limits in practice. She is thoughtful and takes a keen interest in helping students develop their practice, but in them as people, building a genuine rapport with each member of her class.

Attending a new class can be a daunting thought, but it need not be - Hong welcomes all students, regardless of ability and experience, with a warm smile. I would highly recommend Hong for those new to yoga practice and more advanced students.

Hong is an excellent tutor, her classess are well run and there is a good variety of styles of yoga offered. I have been attending her class regularly and my strength and fitness have improved greatly during this time. There is always a friendly atmosphere and warm welcome.

I have been attending Hong’s classes for a while. I had not done yoga before and I highly recommend learning yoga with Hong. She is extremely knowledgeable, her classes are suitable for all levels as she gives alternatives for beginners through to advanced. She varies her classes each week this enables us to learn more about our minds and body.
Learning yoga with Hong has given me a much needed positive shift in my life.

As a first time student of Tai Chi, I found Hong shows endless patience and understanding. Her classes are very enjoyable and I look forward to attending them.
I have recommended her classes to friends.

Hong is so patient with new learners & she is such a calming person when she gives her class, I feel refreshed every time afterwards.

Barbara.

Hong teaches proper Chinese taichi, and she is very knowledgeable and patient.I enjoy learning Taichi from her.

I contacted Hong after my GP recommended that I should try Tai Chi. As I couldn’t travel easily we started with virtual lessons through messenger. Hong set me different exercises every week. I have seen a lot of improvement and enjoy practicing. I have finally met Hong this week in person and attended one of the classes. I would definitely recommend Hong to anybody.

I have been learning Tai Chi with Hong for nearly 2 years
She is a very patient teacher and very knowledgeable. She teaches the theory and philosophy behind Tai chi as well as the benefits. The lessons are enjoyable and relaxing

Hong is an excellent teacher. After 8 lessons my sciatica problem has disappeared. I shall continue with regular classes.
She is very competent and explains the moves clearly. Thank you Hong I feel lucky to have found you.

Hong is a great teacher. She explains everything clearly, talking you through every move. She is patient and motivates you to work hard. She gives positive feedback which is really encouraging. I look forward to her classes and I would thoroughly recommend Hong and her classes.

I have been going to Hong's Tai-chi classes twice a week, for almost a year now. I really enjoy them and I feel that she equally enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience with us.
Certainly, I have learned a lot over the months, not just about Tai-chi but also Quigong and the benefit that these exercises bring to my whole body.
I hope to continue with Hong for many years to come.
Carol.

I’m Julia Culshaw and I’m a retired English college lecturer. I have been attending Hong’s vinyasa and hatha yoga classes at Abergele Leisure centre for over a year now.
She is an excellent tutor and always demonstrates the exercise clearly and explains which muscle group we are working and why. She always focuses on breathing alongside and we do meditation and relaxation at the end of the class . She is always professional yet friendly and welcoming . I would have no hesitation in recommending her yoga classes to all abilities and ages .

I decided to study Tai chi with Hong, as she had lived and learned Tai chi to a high standard in China. My learning experience with Hong has been excellent, with plenty of patience and a good sense of humour complimenting the learning experience, and making the learning process a highly enjoyable occasion.

I started Tai Chi with Hong as a complete beginner 6 months ago. I have learned so much from her as her dedication and passion for Tai Chi is very evident. She gives very clear instructions and demonstrations to ensure that every move is carried out correctly. She is very patient and is always ready to answer any questions, and her classes are always very relaxing and enjoyable.

I first met Hong when I was a complete yoga novice in one of her classes. She was very welcoming and made sure that everybody's needs were catered for. Hong is a wonderful, very experienced teacher, providing a friendly and calm environment for her students. My husband and I also attended Hong's online yoga sessions, which were also extremely beneficial when we were unable to attend in person.

Hong is a sweet soul and the very true meaning of yoga
I love her classes, she has taken time and taught me so much
i can’t recommend her classes enough
she is kind caring and fun

I’ve been learning Tai chi with Hong for about a year, she is a great teacher and is very patient with us all.
She teaches us authentic Tai chi, and pays a lot of attention to detail. She is very encouraging and her lessons are very enjoyable.

It is not an exaggeration to say that Hong's lessons have truly changed my life. I have a musculoskeletal condition (osteogenesis imperfecta) which means I am prone to broken bones, dislocations and general aches and pains. Hong tailors my warm-ups and practice to strengthen parts of my body that are causing me problems at any particular time. For example she was able to really speed up recovery from a very painful dislocated shoulder by incorporating qigong exercises to strengthen that area.

I am currently learning 24 form. Hong breaks down each component so minutely and corrects any mistakes I make to ensure I am practicing the form correctly. I have found the breathing and meditation elements extremely calming, enabling me to sleep well at night whilst having more energy and focus of a day time. I am feeling so much healthier and stronger thanks to this wonderful lady.

Hong is simply the best.I am an 82 year old lady and have found Hong after many years of practise.Hong is the best ,Simply the best.

Hongs Yoga classes are wonderful … she is an amazing teacher. Her classes leave me feeling energised , relaxed and very very HAPPY .
I would highly recommend xxxx

I have had Qigong and Tai Chi lessons from Hong in Denbigh during 2022, and I am now getting Tai Chi lessons from Hong in Kinmel Bay. She is a great tutor, encouraging students at all levels. She ensures adequate warm up, and warm down at the end. She focuses on one or two forms per lesson, working through all 24 steps over time.

Hong is a very patient and kind tutor. I have been doing tai chi with her for a long time and she has helped improve my shoulder mobility. I especially enjoyed eight broadcade Qigong which was very relaxing and enjoyable. Thank you Hong x

Hong always arrives to teach her Tai Chi lessons full of enthusiasm and fun. Takes extra time to explain and show any detail of any movement that we might find difficult. Hong always checks that I hear her well as I have a hearing impairment. All in all Hong is a great teacher and her enthusiasm passes onto us to help develop our Tai Chi skills. Would recommend Hong very highly.

Hong teaches that tai chi is much more than simply moving your body through a set of poses.
The attention to the small details and explanations of the reason for these adjustments make understanding clear.
With patience and pacing the class to allow the participation at all abilities makes for a welcoming and relaxing session in which you know you have worked and exercised well.

I broke my shoulder, damaged a muscle and could barely move my shoulder but with Hong’s help i can not only move my shoulder better but i have a lot less pain. I would recommend tai chi to everyone with health problems. Hong is an amazing patient and supportive person who has helped me so much. Can’t thank her enough!

Hello everyone. I have been doing Tai Chi with Hong for a couple of months now. I got to know her through my mother (who is also a student of Hong, but on a different day), who let me know that there was going to be a class starting in my town. I have not missed a single class. Hong is a very patient teacher, who explains what we are doing in both the Tai Chi and the Qi Gong exercises that we do each class.
I have found that the classes are good for me, as it is a form of exercise that lets you move without making injuries that you may have worse (it's great for the back incidentally, which helps me as I had a work related back injury two years ago). I have also found that it allows you to develop total control over your body, as well as increasing strength and stamina. Aside from that, it is very meditative, and you can clear your mind with the Yang style of Tai Chi, as you are concentrating on only the one thing at a time, so that you can empty your mind of everything unimportant, get rid of your stresses, and just be (leave your mobile phone behind. If it is actually important they will call you back. If they don't, then it obviously wasn't important to begin with). And do it for long enough? You might just find there are other benefits other than physical as well.

I've been attending Hongs Ti Chi lessons for the last three months and can highly recommend.

My health has improved greatly since taking up Tai Chi. Hong is a very passionate, dedicated and brilliant instructor. I think I speak for all the group in saying how much we look forward to and enjoy her classes .

I am in a TaiChi class which is run by Hong. She is a lovely person and is very patient with all class members taking us through the moves slowly and gently. She also explains what the moves are called; what they represent and the importance of ensuring we maintain our strength and posture as we get older.

I am delighted to share what an amazing instructor I have for Tai Chi - Hong! We are quite far away and Hong generously created a time that worked perfectly for us. She is incredibly knowledgeable and her instructions are clear and tapered to our beginning level. After class she sends us a video to practice when needed which is quite helpful. Hong is patient and always happy to go over anything that's difficult. I am thrilled to be in her class and highly recommend Hong. Her knowledge of Tai Chi and it's ability to calm and heal is evident. And as a bonus, she is a lovely and very kind person and truly delightful to know.

I have been studying the 24 form with Hong and recommend her highly. I had no previous experience with Tai Chi and Hong tailored the lessons to match my ability. I love Tai Chi now and look forward to every lesson. I'm still learning new things thanks to Hong.

I have been practicing yoga about 5 years,Taichi a little les. I started practicing with Hong about 2 years ago and i would definitely choose Hong over my previous teachers. She is a brilliant exponent of both Yoga and Taichi, very patient, gives clear and concise instructions, but does not shy away from correcting people’s mistakes.Hong’s teaching methods are first class.Peter

I have been attending Hong’s classes for two years now, and she is a fantastic teacher! She is kind, patient and sensitive to the needs and abilities of her students, is extremely knowledgeable and gives clear instructions and guidance. I always enjoy Hong’s lessons and can highly recommend her.

Hong has been my tutor for the last two years. I can highly recommend her as a tutor in traditional Tai Chi. She is very patient and encouraging.

Hong is a great teacher. She is patient and kind but also fun. I am learning a lot and I am confident that Hong will help me progress.
