I am a qualified Careers Adviser with many years' experience of teaching maths to Entry Level, Functional Skills and GCSE students.

About April

I have worked in a variety of education settings with pupils aged 11 - 18 years over the past 14 years including mainstream and specialist settings. I have taught Entry Level, Functional Skills, GCSE (foundation paper) maths to students aged 11-18 years so I am confident and familiar with the topics and knowledge required to succeed!

About the lesson

My journey at my current school started 8 years ago where I was a Higher Level Teaching Assistant focusing mainly on teaching maths to small groups and a 1:1 basis for students with varying special educational needs and social, emotional and mental health difficulties. I have and continue to work with students who have struggled to access education previously and have had success in re-engaging them with their studies.
