About Mia

I have been a chemistry teacher for 7 years working in secondary schools in the UK. I have a master's degree in my subject and have plenty of experience helping students understand and enjoy chemistry as much as I do! Over the years I have taught 1000+ students aged 11-18 at both GCSE and A-Level standard, covering most specifications such as AQA, OCR and IGCSE.

Chemistry is definitely a tricky school subject that I have seen many students feel defeated by. Know that you are not alone! It is my job to help you build your confidence, one session at a time, until you get your 'lightbulb' moment!

About the lesson

You could be in mainstream education looking for support or a homeschool student needing a tailored programme. You could be someone who thinks science is 'not my thing' or a future chemist / medic / dentist who wants to hone their skills. In all cases, I can help!

The beauty of 1-to-1 tuition is that you can control the content and the pace of what we do. I always give a free first session to get to know my students and what they want to achieve, and from there we can design a plan tailored to you!

Lessons are typically an hour long and will involve a range of techniques to retain memory whilst practising skills and embedding exam technique.
