About Richard
I have spent over 25 years leading teams and coaching professionals in communication, confidence and handling challenging situations. As a qualified coach, Associate Professor and author, I now focus on helping young people develop these skills before they enter university or work.
Many students I meet are capable but hesitate to speak up, worry about presentations or feel unsure in interviews and social situations. My approach is calm, supportive and practical. I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable talking, practising and making progress at their own pace.

I offer practical coaching rather than academic tutoring, helping students build confidence and communication skills they can use immediately.
Sessions include mock interviews, presentation practice and handling difficult conversations, with clear feedback and simple techniques.
Lessons last 60 minutes and are usually fortnightly.
Suitable for students aged 13 to 21, especially capable but quiet or anxious learners preparing for presentations, interviews or university life.
