My teaching methodology is strongly based on TPR (Total Physical Response) which allows students to learn through repetitive action. I feel that TPR allows my students to actively engage with new vocabulary and lowers their inhibitions, allowing for a more comfortable and familiar learning environment.
I have five years teaching experience and love to share my passion for the English language with people across the globe. After graduating from University, I began working as a writer for a popular website. I then decided that I wanted to pursue a career in teaching and began working as a freelance music and English teacher. In June 2020, I completed a 168 hour course with the TEFL Academy which allowed me to teach on online platforms such as iTutor Group. I am fully DBS checked and have experience teaching students of all ages and abilities. Whether you want to learn English for fun, for business or to work towards a certification, my English language courses are tailor made to suit your exact needs. I believe that learning should be fun and I aim to help all of my students reach their true potential and fulfill their goals.

I have always enjoyed teaching and sharing my knowledge and passion with others. As a teenager, I volunteered as a singing workshop leader in local schools. This experience cemented my desire to work with young people and inspired me to pursue my love for music. In 2016, I began studying at Leeds College of Music. Although I am primarily a performer, I particularly enjoyed the Music in Education Practice module, as well as Music Journalism. These modules allowed me to further explore my interest in the English language as well as teaching me valuable communication skills which have served me well during my time as a singing teacher. After graduating from university, I began working at Made Greater, a digital marketing agency. I wrote content for their website Eighties Kids, a job which I enjoyed immensely. During my time at the company, I developed a strong writing style and gained further insight into the use of grammar and extended vocabulary in writing. In January 2020, I decided to embark on a new challenge and began working as a freelance singing and music teacher. During the pandemic, I have had to adapt and begin teaching online. Whilst this was challenging, it opened me up to new ways of learning and teaching and I decided to pursue a certificate in Level 5 TEFL. In my spare time I enjoy reading, writing, playing music and walking in the Yorkshire countryside.
