About Louise
I am a Dr of English Literature based in the north-east of England. I have a background in English Studies and Creative Writing, and have a range of experience in higher education. Having taught for 5 years at Teesside University as an associate lecturer in English Studies and as a tutor of Creative Writing, I have a broad skills set, ranging from teaching students to write well and to different audiences, and proofreading and editing work.
I have a background in tutoring, tailoring sessions for the ages of 16 plus.
I have my own proofreading business ((concealed information) and frequently assess and provide content support and proofreading services for a broad range of needs.

My teaching method is based on 'differentiated instruction'. I tailor my instruction to meet individual student needs. I do this in a number of ways, including how students access content, the types of activities students react well to and are able to master a concept within, and importantly, my sessions are tailored to the distinctive 'end product' which each student requires, whether it be to master writing skills, learn about and critically analyse a specific text, or communicate better in an oral/written capacity.
