About Giulia
I am Italian but I have been living in Melbourne for three years. I hold a Diploma in Performing Arts and I have recently obtained my Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA). I am a passionate and emphatic teacher, sensitive to each learner’s unique needs. I am able to provide individual and whole group support, integrate multicultural teaching units, and offer positive encouragement and reinforcement to keep students focused and motivated.

I'm equipped with the communicative teaching method. I apply this method in the classroom through interactive and student-centred activities designed to maximise students’ ‘talk-time’. My artistic background allows me to provide students with creative, original, and stimulating activities, which keep the learning process fun and engaging. As a non-native English speaker, I can meet the students’ needs and anticipate their problems with the language. Since I have been through the process of learning English as a second language, I have a natural feel for what works and what doesn’t. This can be especially important for beginner students who need more study support. Also, for all students, having a non-native teacher proves that fluency is possible if they just work on it.
