About Rebecca
I am twenty seven years old and a qualified English teacher with over four years of teaching experience both in the UK and abroad. I have a wide range of experience working with students aged 10-21 and can offer tuition in English Language and Literature up to GCSE and A-Level. I can offer tuition to individuals and small groups of students. I can also offer tuition to primary school students in a range of subjects.
I have a degree in English Literature and a PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education) in Secondary English. Having taught both in the UK and abroad, I have experience delivering the 9-1 curriculum, I-GCSE curriculum and ESL curriculum. My subject knowledge is excellent and I have knowledge and experience of different exam boards and their specifications.

My approach is friendly and supportive, with lessons tailored exactly to what the student requires. My experience has allowed me to work with a variety of students, including students who have English as an additional language and special educational needs; therefore, I am able to plan and deliver accessible lessons which take into account students' individual needs and ensure they make progress. I have a proven track record for implementing successful and meaningful intervention with individual students preparing for exams. I am consistent, patient and understand the importance of adapting and using a variety of teaching methods to engage and support students with different learning styles- a ‘one size fits all’ approach is not something which I have ever used in my practice.
