From my teaching and personal experiences, I have found that creating enquiry-based lessons is most beneficial. This means that my lessons are designed to spark intrigue and interest within pupils, so that they are motivated to enquire the topic at hand further.
I always ensure that every pupil feels satisfied that they understand the work or information. In addition, I am always more than happy to answer any question to the best of ability.
I am a very kind, approachable and empathetic person. I am consistently hard-working, organised and improving upon myself, and hope to raise the aspirations and confidence of every pupil I teach.
I truly believe that geography is one of the most important subjects for young people to learn and become engaged with. It is undoubtedly highly beneficial for everyone to have a great understanding of the physical world around them and the people within it.
This academic year I have completed my PGCE Secondary Geography course at Manchester Metropolitan University. During my training, I gained experience teaching geography to years 7-11, including additional study sessions with year 11 pupils in preparation for their upcoming exams. I also taught BTEC Travel and Tourism to year 10.
I graduated in 2019 with a BSc Geography degree. Geography is a great passion of mine and I aspire to share my knowledge and ignite a similar passion in others.
I am also open to tutoring in the following subjects up to, and including, GCSE/BTEC level: travel and tourism, maths, chemistry, geology and health and social care.
