About Mollie
Hi, I’m Mollie, a qualified maths tutor with over 5 years of experience supporting learners through Key Stage 3 and GCSE.
I hold professional qualifications in education, tutoring, and coaching, and I’m a member of The Tutors’ Association. Alongside my tutoring, I’ve also worked as a Numeracy Coach on a Suffolk County Council project, helping learners build confidence with maths in everyday life.
I take a calm, supportive and respectful approach, adapting my teaching to suit each individual. I believe every learner is different, and my focus is on helping maths make sense in a way that works for them.
Over the years, I’ve found real enjoyment in seeing the difference tutoring can make—whether that’s a student gaining confidence, starting to understand topics that once felt overwhelming, or simply feeling more comfortable with maths.

I offer personalised 1-to-1 maths tutoring for learners at Key Stage 3 and GCSE level.
Each session is tailored to the individual, whether the focus is building confidence, catching up, preparing for exams, or developing a deeper understanding of key topics.
Lessons are typically one hour per week and include:
An initial assessment to understand current level
Clear, step-by-step explanations
A calm, supportive learning environment
Optional personalised homework
Access to additional resources to support learning
Ongoing assessment and adaptation of lessons
Sessions usually take place in Bury St Edmunds (library or town centre location), with some flexibility depending on location. Thurston Library is also an option if that's easier.
My aim is to help learners feel more confident, reduce stress around maths, and make steady, lasting progress as they work towards their GCSEs.
