About Tyrell
Hi, I'm Tyrell a native English speaker from the north of England, now based in Melbourne, Australia.
I hold a 120-hour TEFL certificate alongside a specialization in teaching English online.
Before shifting into language tutoring, I spent seven years working as a Design Engineer, alongside several years working in customer-facing retail roles.
Having worked extensively in professional, technical and commercial environments, I understand how crucial clear communication is. Whether you want to improve your conversational skills for daily life, travel or to feel more comfortable in workplace discussions, I focus on creating a supportive and relaxed environment where you can practice without pressure.
Relocating to Australia has given me a deep appreciation for adapting to new cultures and environments. Outside of teaching I enjoy listening to music, especially live shows, trying new cuisines, and exploring.

What is my teaching methodology?
I use a communicative, student-centered approach designed to maximize student talking time. Rather than listening to long lectures, you will do most of the speaking. I take quiet notes throughout the session, reserving dedicated time at the end to review vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation mistakes so you feel prepared for real-world conversations. Every lesson is customized around real-world topics and scenarios based on your personal interests and goals to keep learning relevant and engaging.
What are my lesson lengths?
Lessons range from 25 to 55 minutes and can be tailored to your schedule.

I am a native English speaker from Northern England holding a 120-hour TEFL certificate, alongside specialized training in teaching English online.
