About Cheryl
As a primary school teacher, I am passionate about building confidence towards learning and education. Children should be supported to have a 'can do' attitude towards their education and their future.
I have a specific interest in working with children who require additional support and helping them to access the curriculum, focused on their successes to build confidence in their independence and ability.

With a child-centred approach, lessons will be catered individually to a child's needs. I will identify key strengths that can be built upon and support a child's confidence with a subject/concept. Lesson's typically will be structured to embed prior learning and contextualise to support new learning. The use of manipulatives to aid understanding and a I do, we do, you do approach to be impactful and engaging. Focus on fluency of key skills to support critical thinking, reasoning and problem solving. Lessons are focused on building a positive relationship to learning.
