About Emma
I studied for my degree and masters, in music, at the University of Liverpool.
Following obtaining my degrees, I studied for my PGCE at the University of Warwick which I was nominated for the Ann Barnes Memorial Prize For Academic Excellence and Exceptional Classroom Proficiency.
I am currently the maths lead, geography lead and year 6 teacher in a primary school.

My teaching methods very much depend on the needs of the child.
In maths some children need a concrete, pictorial, abstract approach whereas others need little and often recaps to embed methods to memory.
For grammar and writing, some children really benefit from using writing techniques such as 'slow writes' whereas others need focused grammar lessons.
