About Joseph
My name is Mr. Beattie and I love animals, sports, nature and video games! I'm always positive and believe that with a can-do attitude we can all achieve things we never thought possible. I get to see this every day when I'm teaching in a classroom, but I find 1 to 1 tutoring sessions are where learners can learn to love learning!

Creating lessons that are bespoke to each child, my 1 hour or 1.5 hour sessions focus on children's strengths in order for them to excel in all subjects. Having taught year 3 and 4 children for 2 years in a mainstream school, whilst also tutoring a year 6 pupil in the lead up to their SATS, I am experienced with supporting children of all abilities. Having trained with KS1 pupils I am also able to apply current phonics and reading techniques to support all children becoming fluent readers and more adept at comprehension tasks.

Details
I am able to offer sessions throughout the daytime, on evenings and weekends, multiple times a week. I would advise at least 2 sessions a week in order to maximise effectiveness and therefore offer discounted rates for blocks of 5 or 10. I can create bespoke programmes if advised in advance for a block of several weeks.
