About Lyndsay
I am a 44 year old mum of two children who has always had a passion for teaching in some capacity. From a young age, I volunteered with younger children and even at university, was involved in tutoring students sometimes older than myself! I completed my PGDE in primary education in 2006 and went on to work in the special educational needs sector supporting children with autism and ADHD. I then rejoined mainstream education where I have remained ever since. I have continued to tutor on and off in between raising my two children. I decided to increase my tutoring hours and expand into teaching English as I am looking for new opportunities and the option to have a more flexible schedule. I am really looking forward to meeting a variety of new clients and the glow I always feel when seeing them progress and achieve their goals.

As a primary teacher I am creative, musical and vibrant. I enjoy teaching phonics and have supported many children on their journey into reading and writing. I am also an experienced tutor and am confident in supporting children 1:1 and targeting specific areas of need. As an adult tutor, I am patient and supportive. Due to my teaching career, I have a deep understanding of the development of English language both spoken and written. If you are struggling in any way with progressing your application of English, I am confident I can offer the right level of support to get you back on track! Whatever your needs, I am always open to discussion, responsive to your personal needs and able to think “outside the box” in order to be the best possible tutor for you!
