About Hannah
I love to teach, especially when my students have that magical ‘aha!’ moment.
I’m a big advocate of having a growth mindset and ensuring that my students understand that even us as adults are continuing to learn! As a child, I found maths a challenging subject but working alongside children to develop and further their understanding in this gives me so much pleasure!
I am also hugely open to supporting parents who would like to expand their understanding so that they can support their kids. This is a judgement free zone!

I am an approachable, friendly faced and experienced teacher. I have a positive, enthusiastic and encouraging attitude towards learning and have previously been likened to Miss Honey by students and their parents!
I started my teaching career by specialising in the Early Years, I love to teach the early curriculum including maths and English. I have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to phonics and after teaching year 1 for four years, I have a good understanding of the year one phonics check. During the middle of my career, I was placed in year 4, again I loved this experience and gained a deeper understanding of the times table check and methods to learn times tables.
I am open to tutoring primary school children of all ages. My particular strengths lie with phonics, reading, writing and maths (EYFS - KS1 particularly but confidently able to tutor children up to year 5.
Lessons can range from 30 minutes to an hour depending on age and development. Please contact me for further details.
