About Antonys
I am a qualified and experienced Science and Maths teacher with a proven track record of delivering high-quality education to KS3 and KS4 students. With 14 years of teaching experience across India and the UK, I bring a deep understanding of the curriculum, effective teaching strategies, and a commitment to student success. Holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology and a Bachelor’s degree in Education in Natural Science, I have the academic credentials to provide structured, engaging, and outcome-driven lessons. My teaching methodology is designed to boost confidence, strengthen problem-solving skills, and inspire a passion for learning. I tailor my approach to suit individual learning styles, ensuring every student receives personalised support and targeted guidance. My lessons incorporate modern teaching techniques, interactive discussions, and exam-focused preparation, empowering students to excel in Science and Maths. Currently working in a secondary school as a Learning Support Assistant, I have firsthand experience observing and implementing differentiated learning techniques that meet students’ unique needs. Students aged 11 to 16, covering KS3 and KS4 Science & Maths. I believe in student-centred learning, where lessons are tailored to individual needs, ensuring engagement, understanding, and long-term retention. My approach is interactive, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills through real-world applications. Lesson Duration & Structure Each lesson runs for 1 hour, divided into: 10 minutes: Recap of previous topics & warm-up questions. 30 minutes: Core lesson content with demonstrations and interactive discussions. 15 minutes: Problem-solving exercises and application-based learning. 5 minutes: Summary, student reflections, and next-steps guidance. Suitable for students preparing for exams, needing additional support, or wanting enrichment in science and mathematics.
