About Rizwanah
I love teaching and studying sciences as I get to understand the inner workings of the body and allows me a great role of responsibility and trust from students and their families.
Previously, I have found exams stressful and was aided with tutors myself to build up my confidence so I could achieve the grades that I wanted. I felt I knew the knowledge but did not know how to apply it when coming to the exams. With new found confidence I am able to go into exams and perform well and I want to be able to do the same for others as it is a really stressful time and it does not always come naturally.

In most instances, tutees will have unique learning styles and problems, so need to have lessons tailored to their preferences. However, generally, I will begin each session by asking the student what it is they are struggling with or want to go through and then prepare lesson plans for that session and future ones. I also understand that different exam boards have different specifications, so will ensure that whatever I teach will be relevant to the tutee's exact course. Examples of lessons could be doing a full past paper together, working on answering exam questions correctly, explaining difficult concepts etc. Moreover, I have access to many of the detailed notes and revision materials I used when I was a student, which I could share with the tutee to aid studying and comprehension of scientific/mathematic concepts
