About Joseph
I have just successfully completed my studies in my PGCE with qualified teacher status and in that year, I found tutoring to be my passion.
I greatly enjoy the academics of teaching along with helping students on one to one basis, which allows me to cater my teaching and provide the best help possible.
I have found that I greatly enjoy making resources from mind maps to flash cards and kahoots for each student.
I have found that science is taught in a very abstract way, being unable to link the concepts with real-life examples. Therefore, I ensure that I use plenty of examples where you can see processes happening.
It took me a while to find revision materials that works the best for me. Therefore, I can empathise with students who try their hardest to improve their grades but still can't seem to reach them. As a result, I know a lot of different revision methods to help students to improve their grade and in my PGCE year, the end-of-topic tests in all my classes class average improved by an average of 12%.

A typical length of a lesson takes 1 hour.
In that time, I enjoy producing a variety of different methods to help the student learn in different ways.
I like to start lessons with recall questions so that the student can see how much they have progressed over time. This can range from exam questions to kahoots.
I enjoy showing short clips to show students how what they are learning is linked to the cutting edge of modern science.
I produce a wealth of resources catered to each student and to help facilitate their learning outside of the tutoring sessions.
