About Sam
I am an ex-teacher of English who left teaching in secondary schools to pursue a PhD in Shakespeare studies. I hope to lecture at university in the future so my passion for teaching continues!
My specialism is (surprisingly) Shakespeare but I have experience in teaching many texts across GCSE and A-Level English.
I also hold a First Class Bachelor's Degree with Honours and a Master's Degree with Distinction in English Literature and would love to work with some university students looking for support with essay writing.

Tailored lessons to suit your needs!
For ESL: conversational teaching to increase confidence and fluency in English.
For GCSE: revision of AQA GCSE English Language and English Literature. I have experience teaching Macbeth, A Christmas Carol, An Inspector Calls, Jekyll and Hyde and P&C/unseen poetry. We can spend time going over themes, characters, structure and exam techniques.
For A-Level: English Literature only (sorry Lang students!) I have experience teaching Othello, A Streetcar Named Desire, Handmaid's Tale, Feminine Gospels and L&R poetry. We can spend time going over themes, characters, structure and exam techniques.
For University: Essay writing skills/proofreading/editing for undergraduate English Literature students
