About Todd
I am passionate about history and take great pleasure in teaching it to young people. My favourite topic is American Studies, although I also enjoy teaching about modern Britain and America. I have substantial knowledge of Cold War and post-Cold War Europe and America. I find joy in seeing people grasp new ideas and encourage discussion, critical thinking, and independent thought. I am patient and capable of quickly fostering positive relationships with people of all ages. Writing is another activity I enjoy.

As a History tutor, I incorporate a blend of traditional and technology-based teaching methodologies to deliver engaging and interactive lessons. Each lesson, approximately 60 minutes long, is tailored to suit the learning pace of each student. I hold a Master’s degree in History from the University of Essex and have twenty years of experience working with young people. My expertise lies in teaching students aged 14-18, helping them grasp complex historical concepts with ease and confidence. I provide private tutoring, both online and face-to-face, and have experience teaching university students.
