About Olesya
I am a qualified teacher with a strong interest in helping children build confidence and achieve their academic potential. I understand that every child learns differently, so I aim to create a positive, encouraging environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace.
I am familiar with the UK primary curriculum and use my teaching experience to identify areas where a child may need additional support or challenge. I particularly enjoy helping children develop their problem-solving skills, comprehension, vocabulary and mathematical confidence.
My approach is patient, structured and encouraging, while maintaining high expectations. I want children to understand what they are learning rather than simply memorising answers, and to become increasingly confident and independent learners.

I offer structured and supportive 11+ preparation for children in Years 4 and 5, with a particular focus on the Bexley Selection Test.
Lessons cover English comprehension and vocabulary, Maths and numerical reasoning, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning. I focus on building strong foundations first, then gradually introduce exam techniques, timed practice and 11+ style questions.
As a qualified teacher, I adapt lessons to each child's level and explain challenging concepts clearly and patiently. My aim is not simply to practise test papers, but to identify gaps, build confidence and develop the skills children need to approach the 11+ successfully. Lessons are available individually and in small groups, allowing children to receive personal attention while also benefiting from an engaging and motivating learning environment.

Individual tuition: £30 per hour.
Small-group 11+ tuition is available - £15 per child per hour, (up to 4 children per group)
For lessons at the student's home, an additional £5 travel fee applies.
