About Tyra
I am a qualified English teacher with a PGCE in Secondary English from Reading University.
I have taught at Collingwood College, The Westgate School, The Bulmershe School and recently at Reading Boys’ School.
I have been giving private tuition for 7 years. I offer a free consultation where a structured plan can be worked out and learning styles assessed. The attainment level of the student; their strengths; their areas of study requiring support are also ascertained during this initial consultation. Progress is reported weekly.
I have a spacious well-resourced learning environment in my home, providing a safe and stimulating environment for students to learn.
Availability:
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday evenings 4:30-5:30; 6:00-7:00; 7:30-8:30
Sunday 11 -12,
I am passionate about teaching and making learning accessible to all. I specialise in supporting students with SEN.

I believe having high expectations of students promotes motivation and triggers the desire to learn. I approach each topic in a creative and fun manner to engage students, particularly as the curriculum can be very cumbersome to navigate.
