About Anne
I began teaching piano seven years ago having started learning myself at the age of six. I have a lifelong passion for the piano which influenced my choice to study music up to university level and specialise in music when I trained to be a primary school teacher. I have taught a range of ages from children to adults both for pleasure and with the aim of taking exams

I tailor every lesson to the individuals needs of the pupil and will enter pupils in for exams or teach for pleasure as preferred. I aim to develop a pupil as a rounded musician, including aural and theory skills where appropriate as they learn the practical skills of their instruments. Creativity and composition are also something I try to incorporate into some lessons as I feel this helps pupils to develop a deeper understanding of how music works, therefore helping them learn their chosen pieces, as well as being fun.
