About Sophie
I have been a Primary teacher for over 16 years and also tutor students from 5 to 11 in English and Maths and from 5 to 17 in French. I am a cheerful and friendly person who likes to make sure my students feel safe and supported and that they know where the gaps are in their learning and feel confident that they know how to close those gaps.

I am experienced in group or 1:1 teaching and like to ensure my sessions are carefully tailored to the needs of each individual student. I have a good knowledge of the Primary curriculum and the knowledge and skills needed to achieve strong results in the SATs or 7 and 11+ examinations. I have a wealth of knowledge of resources and can find where the gaps are in a student's knowledge and skills and work carefully to ensure these are closed in a fun and engaging way.
