About Stephen
Teaching has always been my passion, and I have dedicated my career to educating the next generation. I believe in making learning engaging, enjoyable, and meaningful, and I take pride in building excellent relationships with every child I work with. Over the years, I have taught in a range of schools, supporting children of all abilities and from diverse social backgrounds, which has helped me adapt my teaching to meet individual needs. Outside the classroom, I have a keen interest in football and running, and I’m not afraid to share the occasional dad joke to bring a smile to my students’ faces! I am committed to helping every child reach their potential, grow in confidence, and enjoy the journey of learning.

With over 10 years of teaching experience, including leadership roles as both a Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 lead and as a Subject Leader in Maths and Science, I am now offering tailored private tuition for children aged 4–12, including those who are gifted and talented. I specialise in Writing, SPaG, Phonics, Maths, Science, Reading and SATs preparation. Throughout my career, I have consistently achieved record phonics screening pass rates and ensured that all children in my class met age-related expectations in Reading, Writing and Maths.
