About Nicole
I am a freelance artist with over 28 years active artistic career and a private tutor.
I hold a BA Hons Degree and a Masters in Visual Arts and Applied Arts/Artistic Ceramics, and i have a long history in creating, exhibiting, curating and teaching experience within the private sector for small groups, 1:1 sessions and interactive workshops.
I love dealing with a variety of needs and i am flexile with exploring topics and curiculum, taking into account what matters most to the pupil, towards a harmonic creative experience and a real artistic development and freedom of expression;

Explore Drawing, painting and mixed media, from the very basics of sketching, tonal value and composition through favourite approches: from figurative, semi-abstract to abstract art forms and further to a diversity of mediums and art technics, ideas and supports.
Afterschool hours for children or off scholl/half terms, day and evening lessons for both young and adults or seniors, all welcome .
I offer a first 1 hour and 30minutes taster session, from which 30 min are free. Basic materials provided.
My teaching methods are mostly traditional but also fun and relaxing and one will experience and achieve fast improving results once started to work with me. Your creativity and experience will expance rapidly.
In practice we look at how to simplify composition and sketching; learn new drawing or painting techniques and use various mediums for drawing (charcoal, pencil, oil pastels, drawing pen, etc) or painting (watercolour, ink, acrylics, oils, gouache) and experiment all the time. I also offer clay modelling at small scale such as portrait and basorelief.
Work is completed indoors or possibly outdoors (during summer), on ones favourite subjects varying from still life, floral, botanical painting, to portraiture, landscape, skyscapes, urban landscapes and abstract experiments and composition or clay modelling 2D and 3D sculpture.

Perfect! Extremely passionate and talented teacher
- Jake is easy to work with and demanding in a positive and constrauctive way. He is a fast learner and concentrates with ease on the technique; willing to learn how to sketch in various mediums and study more difficult objects/ volumes, tonal value expression, differentiation and composition.Nicole's response :
Perfect! Nicole was incredibly patient and kind, taking the time to explain everything clearly to Madison in a way she could understand. At the same time, Nicole gave Madison the space and confidence to work independently, which really suited her. We were really pleased with the session and would definitely recommend her.

I've been attending Nicole's art (yes, sorry, art, but bear with me!) lesson's for a while now. Nicole is a kind, thoughtful, & dynamic teacher. She always goes an extra mile to deliver lessons that are wide-ranging. Whilst I'm no expert yet, I've picked up a lot of insight during this time. Insight valuable into finding your own style. Also, having attended group as well as private lessons, I know that Nicole likes to bring out the best of her students.
Nicole's varied & skilled background would be an asset to signing lessons... So go ahead, take a chance, & give them a try! (Maybe I will one day, myself!)I have been to see many of Nicole's classical singing concerts. They were all wonderful experiences. Nicole has a truly beautiful voice which really conveys the emotion of the songs. She certainly sings from her heart and soul. I thoroughly recommend her as a singer.
Nicole Bartos is a gifted singer and performer. Having attended many of her concerts I have witnessed that she draws her own following of audiences.
