I find that language learning should be fun and engaging. Languages are alive and ever-changing and whether you want to pass an exam or just improve your conversational abilities it's so important that you really engage with the language, the music, culture and people who come with it.. and that you enjoy yourself!
I have just completed a Law with French degree at QUB. I spent a year living with a local family in Lyon where I learned fluent french and taught the children English. I've spoken German all my life and used to live in the north of Germany near Hamburg.

SKILLS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
I am an avid linguist, speaking C1 level German and French.
I am a keen debater and a passionate public speaker. My current skills in this come hugely from my Tour Guiding but even at school I partook in debating, winning the European Youth Parliament Debate in Northern Ireland and flying to Liverpool with my fellow debaters to partake in the UK wide debate.
I am also skilled in writing having written an essay at the age of 17 for the American charity Best Buddies winning a trip to the annual Best Buddies Leadership Conference in July 2013 in Indiana. This conference saw me speak at the international opening ceremony and working with people from all nationalities, many of whom I still maintain contact with to this day.
I ran the Best Buddies Northern Ireland Chapter during my A-level year. A charity which promotes inclusion of people with learning disabilities into everyday life. This involved organising events and fundraising.
I have recently commenced some writing for The Colloquium, a new student lead Trinity College magazine. My first article dealt with the implications of Brexit on Northern Ireland.
I have taken part in several plays. Relishing in a chance to perform and speak in front of crowds.
I enjoy writing about both personal events and experiences and also the wider political world.
I am hugely interested in world history and politics, reading often on the subject.
I enjoy playing all sports from my preferred sport of the 400m sprint to swimming and everything in-between.
