About Steven
Currently, I am a student majoring in Banking and Finance at the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM). I decided to teach as a tutor because I feel it is useless if I have knowledge in English, but it is not shared with people. In addition, I am very interested and interested in becoming a tutor since I was in junior high school.
I myself come from Semarang, Central Java. I graduated from TriTunggal Christian Secondary School (SMP) in 2018 and graduated from SMA Karangturi Semarang in 2021. I received several awards while studying in middle and high school as follows:
- Member of the Social Sciences Olympiad Team (2015 - 2017 )
- Highest Academic Score Winner (2018)
- Golden Scholastic Badge Winner (2018)
- 2nd Place in Mathematics and Natural Sciences (Year 2021)
Besides that, I am also quite proficient in communicating with other students, teachers, and also external to the school because I once joined the management of the Karangturi High School Student Council (Year 2018 - 2020). Therefore, dealing with and teaching students as a tutor is not a burden for me, but rather a pleasure for me.

I believe that a tutor should be able to adapt the Online Learning Environment to the needs of his students.
Therefore, I will use the GOOGLE MEET application as a platform for teaching and my teaching techniques are as follows :
1). One-on-one meeting
2). Efficient 1 hour course duration
3). Handouts and notes are detailed and easy to understand
4). Conversation practices
5). Writing consultation and proofreading
6). Fun virtual quizzes through Kahoot and Quizziz
My course is aimed at middle and high school students (or equivalent) with an age range of 14 - 18 years who are passionate about learning and exploring English as a second language.
