About Kate
Hi!
I’m Kate, I was raised in the Midlands and now reside in the beautiful Devon with my partner, daughter and cats.
I graduated this years with a bachelors degree in English Literature and Language with a focus on the classics and children’s literature. I am passionate about language and creative texts and how they can influence both on a personal and global level and the ways in which it is used to achieve this. I feel that being aware of how language can be used allows people to think more critically about the information they are presented, whether that be from the news, media or fantasy stories.
I love helping people achieve their goals and being part of their journey in a positive and encouraging way. I can’t wait to hear from you!

Hello!
My aim as a tutor is to give my students the passion and confidence to develop their skills in a wide range of literary techniques. From the basics to developing convincing critiques of the literary classics I create fun and interesting personalised lessons depending on the students abilities and goals.
In our first lesson I like to get an overview of the students aims and what they feel like they need help with. This allows me to create a plan to get them their whilst developing a passion for the topic and the language.
