About Daria
I got my Bachelor's in biology from UMass Amherst, and recently got my Master's in medical sciences from BU. My dream is to become a physician, and I am currently applying to medical schools while working as a medical assistant at a hospital in Boston. I have had a lot of previous tutoring experience starting in high school when I helped a 6th grader improve in her math class. I was also a tutor for graduate students in my M.S. program for biochemistry and physiology. Seeing my students improve has been extremely rewarding, and I hope to continue helping students achieve their academic goals by tutoring on weekends. Math was my strongest subject in high school. I got a 790 on the math section of the SAT, and an 800 on the Math II subject SAT test. I feel well equipped to help high school students do well in their math classes or to improve their SAT scores.

My teaching approach is to understand your specific needs, and cater to your learning style to help you improve. I can help with content review, test preparation, and moral support. I understand how hard school can be, and I will be there to push you towards your goal of becoming a better student. Together we can come up with an effective study schedule, and work through difficult material. I will be available to answer any questions that may come up during the week over text. My goal as your tutor is to find a way to make the subject enjoyable for you while also challenging you to achieve high scores on school exams/standardized tests. I believe that everyone is capable of academic improvement when given the right study techniques.
