About Meg
I've just graduated from the University of Manchester, where I studied Politics and Spanish and spent my third year studying abroad in Chile. I teach from the perspective of someone who took their GCSEs in 2018 and A levels in 2020 - that is, being in school and struggling with classroom content is a recent memory, and so I remember what these exams expect of young learners. That being said, I'm able to teach all ages and abilities, whether you're graduating from Duolingo or studying for official exams.

Hour long lessons to build Spanish conversational confidence. My lessons are split into two parts. Initially, we spend 40 minutes on structured content matched to the student's ability level (covering grammar, vocabulary, etc). The final 20 minutes is then left for conversation practice. While studying for GCSEs and A levels I lacked speaking confidence and, though I could write an essay about Spanish culture, couldn't hold an ordinary conversation. It was only when I practised chatting normally with friends, rather than in an academic context, that I improved at all. I base my teaching off of this - putting the theory into practice!
