First-class (Hons) History graduate with expertise at undergraduateI level in medieval~modern Scottish/British aand Indian, French and East Asian history. I am currently teaching English in China before continuing my education in Scotland and have extensive experience woth younger pupils. I closely follow current academic educational trend and, using these as a model, am willing to adapt to the personal needs of my students. With the nuance involved in my expert subjects (english and history), a perosnal approach is both the most rewarding academically but also the best way to ensure long term personal and professional development. Teaching to an exam is useful but tutoring for long term growth is essential for university and life as a whole. Regarding disseration and essay writing, again nuance and particular circumstances are crucial to ensure a student learns from the experience rather than just gains the ability to pass exams with my aid.
