About Jack
I'm about to start a History and Politics degree at the University of Warwick, having just finished school with A*A*A at A-Level in Economics, English Language and Literature, and History. I want to teach because I remember exactly what made the difference for me during my exams: understanding what examiners actually reward rather than just knowing the content. I'm patient, organised, and genuinely enjoy explaining things clearly, which came through in ten months of customer-facing work at Waitrose alongside my studies. I'm looking to bring that same reliability to tutoring.

English
I recently completed my A-Levels with A*A*A in Economics, English, and History, so the A-Level/GCSE syllabus and exam technique are still fresh in my mind. My approach is exam-focused: working through past papers, mark schemes and structuring essay or exam answers so you know exactly where marks are gained. I use a document camera in lessons so you can watch me work through answers and annotate them live, rather than just listening to me talk. Lessons run for one hour and suit A-Level or GCSE students in History, Economics or English who want clear, practical, results-driven support rather than passive revision.

I would highly recommend Jack to anyone looking for a friendly and supportive tutor. I’ve always found him to be thoughtful, reliable and very good at communicating with others. Having previously worked as a peer tutor, he understands how important it is to build someone’s confidence as well as improve their knowledge. He explains things clearly, encourages questions and creates a relaxed atmosphere where it’s easy to learn.
I’ve had lessons with Jack since year 7 and he was always someone who peers would look to when struggling in class. This is due to the passion he has for his studies and the clear detailed responses he would give to make sure everyone new exactly what they needed to do.
I’ve known Jack for a number of years and he’s always been someone who communicates really well and makes people feel comfortable asking questions. His experience as a peer tutor has helped him develop a patient and encouraging approach, and he’s particularly good at taking a complicated subject and making it much easier to understand. He’s enthusiastic, supportive and genuinely interested in helping people progress. I’d highly recommend him as a tutor.
I’ve known Jack for several years and have always been impressed by how naturally he connects with people. He is friendly, patient and very good at explaining things in a clear and straightforward way. His experience as a peer tutor has given him a great understanding of how to help someone work through a difficult topic without simply giving them the answer. He’s supportive, knowledgeable and easy to talk to, and I’d happily recommend him as a tutor.
I’ve known Jack for a long time and he’s always been someone who is good at helping others understand things. He has previous experience as a peer tutor and is particularly good at breaking complicated topics down into something much easier to follow. He’s friendly, reliable and patient, so you never feel uncomfortable asking questions or admitting when you don’t understand something. I’d have no hesitation recommending him.
