About Tom
I'm 22 years old and have recently finished my master's degree. Probably the biggest reason why I love drumming so much is because of the teacher I had from the ages of 11-18. I felt that he created the perfect balance between lessons being laid back and enjoyable, but equally making sure that we had covered good ground each time. That's what I want to replicate, I want you to really enjoy your drumming. Through the right combination of taking on challenging new things and enjoying skills/pieces you're already comfortable with, I hope to create a stress-free and fun atmosphere that you can thrive under.

My lessons would be 50 minutes, but the structure would be very much dependent on what works for you. I can help you with new pieces that you want to learn, either for grade exams or just songs you want to play along to. We can also look at more technical things, or maybe new grooves/fills that you've heard and want to learn. Ideally, you would send me anything you want to cover in the session a couple of days in advance so I can look over it properly. Or, if for example you say: "Tom can you find me some good pop/rock songs to learn" then I'd also need a bit of notice here too. I've played the drums for 13 years, having done my grade 8 exam back in 2020. I've played in numerous bands (jazz bands, rock pop bands, orchestras) at venues such as the Camden Roundhouse and the Royal Festival Hall. I'm therefore confident in my experience to bring you enjoyable and beneficial drum kit lessons. Able to teach students of all ages, grades 1-6 ability. Could also be willing to take on grades 7 and 8 students.
