I am passionate about making ancient languages and culture accessible, interesting, and exciting!
My teaching method is to cater to the needs of individual students (the first free lesson will be spent discussing your needs!). I can offer introductory, informal Latin lessons to anyone interested. I can also provide supplementary support for GCSE students who need some extra help with Latin grammar, vocabulary, and (Latin to English) translation skills. Additionally, I am able to proof-read short essays or pieces of homework relating to Ancient Roman History.
I am a recent graduate from the University of Oxford where I studied a masters in Greek and Roman History. Before this, I completed an undergraduate degree in Ancient History at the University of Birmingham. I achieved an A* in Latin GCSE and continued to study Latin Prose and Poetry while at University.
I have a qualification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (certTESOL) and have previously volunteered to teach beginners Latin to students aged 11-14 at a Classics Summer School.
