I am an enthusiastic and friendly tutor who can provide classes all the way up to A-level. I prefer tutoring 1:1 or in a smaller group so that I can tailor-make my lesson plans to suit the individual student.
I am a very patient, adaptable, and passionate tutor who will be committed to helping you achieve your goals, whilst maintaining a fun and enjoyable work environment along the way.
I am a recent postgraduate with both a Bachelor of Arts undergraduate degree and a Masters of Science postgraduate degree under my belt, in different fields. However, my passion for academia continues as a potential Ph.D. looms on the horizon. The social sciences/humanities are primarily (but not limited to) my academic field of choice.
I can offer a great passion and enthusiasm for the subject, as well as a vast knowledge of the subjects I specialise in. My naturally positive energy, charisma, creativity and imprvisational skills have proven vital in translating to success in recent freelance tutoring, as this assumed temporary role has expanded due to high demand. My enthusiasm and constant efforts to create an interesting, exciting, and informative class proved highly successful in translating to the students who thoroughly enjoyed the classes. My personal character traits such as organisation, patience, leadership, and teamwork were developed largely in my roles as Head of House at college, a Prefect at College, a CCF Officer, and as the team leader in all three Duke of Edinburgh Award Schemes (Bronze, Silver, and Gold).
My current aim, although constantly expanding, is to remain academically engaged and to challenge myself in new academic fields. I have greatly enjoyed teaching in recent weeks and wish to take it to new levels, exploring and enhancing my skill set along the way. Simply put, these last few weeks have been personally, incredibly rewarding. The highlight being a 13-year-old highly dyslexic history student coming to me with an average in Spring Term of "16%" and concluding our lessons with "80%". I never anticipated the fulfillment of such achievements as being so rewarding and wish to push myself further and to continue this momentum and enthusiasm for future months and years.
