About William
I am a shy student myself, so I am understanding of the different ways someone can be when they are learning. Which is why I love maths, it allows me to try and gauge what is going on in someone's mind by looking at their working.
What I get out of being a tutor is being able to tag along and watch someone creatively develop. I strongly encourage any student to always challenge themselves.
One thing I can guarantee is that I will try my best to push you and help you become a better thinker.

My teaching style:
I am very familiar with how students actually can learn, and firmly believe a casual setting is best for a student.
If a student wishes to bring questions themselves I am more than happy for this and I will still produce a question pack for them in case we have time left still.
My methodology:
In my experience the most daunting aspect of exams is the unfamiliarity, my sessions will aim at ensuring you have great fundamentals and introduce you to a variety of styles of questions and different ways to think. This will result in you being more confident in exams but also when you come across an unknown question style you have the confidence in yourself to approach the question!
I will produce a series of questions for us to go through together. Each question will be chosen with a purpose and as we complete the questions I will speak about the reasons why you can learn from the questions regardless of success with them.
Typical length of a lesson:
Time duration of a lesson is preferential to you.
Experience:
I used to run a maths club with my friends in school for two years, going through questions that provoked thought and counter-intuitive thinking.
I have supported multiple GCSE students before, from offering guidance across subjects to teaching new content and the different ways they may come across certain ideas again later on.
