About Martha
I have recently graduated from Durham University where I studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics. I specialised in Philosophy and focused on Contemporary and Applied Ethics. I also wrote my dissertation to first class standard on the morality of euthanasia and helped students in younger years with planning out essay questions.

I give lessons to those who are at beginner or intermediate level. I offer help with understanding and forming arguments for and against modern ethical practices, from abortion to (reasons for) judicial punishment to (what counts as) consent. I teach students who are introduced to ethics at university level, helping to tie ethics with philosophical theory, but I also teach students studying for GCSE's and A Level exams to give them a better understanding of the arguments behind moral issues. My lessons are based on the student's specification so I can ensure that I cover all topics the student will be tested on, and so the lessons have structure.
I also teach individuals who are interested in learning more about ethical theory and reason but who are not studying for exams. Individuals can simply choose from a list of topics I can cover, or they can choose some of their own topics for us to discuss.
