About Robert
For prospective students, I have professional qualifications and vast experience of teaching all aspects and topics relating to GCSE and A level Physics. My ability to explain and relate sometimes challenging ideas and concepts has received critical approval by observers during school inspections including OFSTED. My commitment to the teaching profession was demonstrated by my willingness to study part-time and eventually receive a Master of Education Degree (MEd.) Although recently retired I am keen to continue passing on my knowledge and expertise but on a part-time basis.

First, I pinpoint exactly what areas of the specification the student wishes to cover. Second, we focus on what the student "thinks" they understand and I probe deeper to assess and gauge their relative ability. Third, there is a dialogue where I use props and analogies to explain certain concepts and follow this up with questions, both oral and written. We finish with a review of everything covered and consider the next lesson. Usually 1 hour but may extend beyond if necessary.
