About Barry
I am a retired surveyor having worked in several numeracy - based disciplines in the construction industry for over 40 years. These include quantity surveying, estimating, building surveying and acoustics. Qualifications include City and Guilds, HTC Structural Engineering, HNC, Diploma in Acoustics, exams of my professional institutions. I am a Member of the Chartered Institute Of Building, and the Institute Of Acoustics.
I have previously taught maths at an Adult Learning Centre to mature adults. I have also experience in teaching other subjects.

My teaching method is to gain an overall picture of the student's target wishes, to assess their current skills in the subject divisions, relating them to their advised previous levels, and to build on them at a pace to suit each individual.
